OPPO has become the largest smartphone manufacturer in China since 2016, selling its phones at more than 200,000 retail outlets. OPPO was the top smartphone brand in China in 2019 and was ranked No. 5, in market share, worldwide.
It is located in a Saturn which is quite near the Hamburg central station。 We have a quite big space, 120 sqm, and two sides windows. As it is a shopping center outside, there are many people passing by every day, which make these windows perfect for mass media advertisement. And at the same time, we need to notice there are some restrictions as well which we need to take into our consideration. There is a department store with brick wall in the front of the window. If people see it through the window , it will ruin the whole design inside.
Project Introduction
The client wanted to redesign the shop to not only target the Chinese consumers but also upgrade the brand experience with a better ambience, while maintaining the oriental elements and compounding the local aesthetics.
The overall store design retains OPPO’s signature central symmetry and clean, minimalist aesthetic. To create a striking visual centerpiece, we incorporated the “O” from the OPPO logo into a captivating ceiling light installation, drawing immediate attention and reinforcing brand identity.Additionally, we utilized the store’s columns innovatively, wrapping them with four-sided LED displays to highlight the impressive fast-charging capabilities of OPPO smartphones. This seamless integration of branding and functionality not only enhances the visual appeal but also effectively communicates key product features to customers in a modern and engaging way.
